Lee B. Oliphant, President and Chief Executive Officer, MIB Group, Inc.
Lee B. Oliphant was appointed President and CEO of MIB Group, Inc. in 2011. Mr. Oliphant first joined MIB as its Chief Financial Officer and has additionally held executive leadership positions in MIB's new product development subsidiary, MIB Solutions, Inc. as its Executive Vice President and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Oliphant held several senior financial positions both at start-ups and large high-technology companies in the Boston area. He started his career in public accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Oliphant received an M.B.A. from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and has a B.S. in Business Administration from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. He also has an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT's Sloan School of Management, and has attended several Executive education courses at Harvard Business School.
Jonathan W. Sager, Executive Vice President, General Counsel, MIB Group, Inc.
Jonathan W. Sager was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2005. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2010. He also serves as MIB's Chief Privacy Officer. Mr. Sager has extensive experience in life and health insurance as well as expertise in privacy, security, employment, corporate and commercial law. Prior to joining MIB, he acted as Senior Counsel, Insurance Operations and Litigation, and Chief Privacy Officer of MONY Life Insurance Company for 17 years. He also served as counsel to the Health Care Affairs division of Excellus Health Plan in Rochester, New York and counsel to the life and health insurance practice group of the Hinman Straub law firm in Albany, New York. Mr. Sager is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI), a member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel, and a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and Florida State Bar. Mr. Sager holds a J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, VA, where he served as Note and Comment Editor for Washington & Lee Law Review and a B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY.
Stacy J. Gill, Executive Vice President, MIB Group, Inc. and MIB Solutions, Inc.
Stacy J. Gill was appointed Executive Vice President of MIB Group and MIB, Solutions, Inc. in 2006 and has been a corporate officer since 1999. Previously, Mr. Gill was Vice President of MIB's Actuarial and Statistical Group (ASG) where he led a team responsible for MIB's research and product development including industry-wide experience studies, medical impairment studies, risk analytics and statistical agent reporting. Mr. Gill's executive leadership and expertise spans risk analytics, technology and statistics and he has presented at industry conferences including the Society of Actuaries, the Association of Home Office Underwriters, ACORD and the American Academy of Insurance Medicine. Mr. Gill holds an M.S. in Actuarial Science and a B.S. in Mathematics from Boston University. He also has an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
Brian S. Millman, Vice President, MIB Group, Inc. and MIB, Inc.
As Vice President of Underwriting Services, Brian Millman oversees all MIB, Inc. operations, which comprise product management, membership, sales and marketing. Since beginning his career at MIB in 1994, Mr. Millman has held a variety of key positions in MIB Group and MIB Solutions, and he now leads MIB Inc. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Millman led MIB Solutions' new product development, establishing new analytic offerings to MIB members companies. His expertise includes underwriting technology, business process and analytics. He has presented at many industry conferences including ReFocus, Association of Home Office Underwriters and the Society of Actuaries. Mr. Millman holds a B.S. in Management from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA and an M.B.A. from Curry College in Milton, MA. He also holds certificates in technology from both Bentley College and Northeastern University.
Thomas E. Rhodes, FSA, MAAA, FCA, Vice President and Actuarial Director, MIB Group, Inc. and MIB Solutions, Inc.
Tom Rhodes leads MIB's actuarial function within in the Actuarial and Statistical Group (ASG). This group provides statistical agent services for the New York State Insurance Department as well as maintaining responsibility for intercompany experience studies on life insurance, annuities, pensions, long-term care insurance, disability insurance and private placement bonds. ASG performs actuarial and analytical research for insurance companies and reinsurers, and maintains an integral role in developing new products and services for the insurance industry. Tom's role is to serve as an industry leader and to manage the team of actuaries who form the core of MIB's analytics capability. Tom is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He regularly presents at industry meetings and at NAIC meetings on enterprise risk management and Principles-Based Valuation and is a former Chair of the Society of Actuaries Individual Life Experience Committee. Prior to MIB, Tom worked for the Guardian Life Insurance Company for 15 years, most recently as Second Vice President and Actuary. He was also Chief Actuary at the U.S. Veterans Administration. Tom earned his M.S. in Business Administration from Temple University and has a B.S. degree from Oberlin College.
Kathleen M. Clasby, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer, MIB Group, Inc.
Kathleen M. Clasby joined MIB Group, Inc. in 2007 as Controller and was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2013. Ms. Clasby has over 20 years' experience in accounting and financial management. Prior to joining MIB, Ms. Clasby was the Controller at Batterycorp, Inc., overseeing all aspects of finance and administration; and at Bennett Footwear, where she directed all accounting, treasury and human resource activities. Ms. Clasby started her career in public accounting for Grant Thornton LLP. Ms. Clasby holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Bentley University in Waltham, MA and is a Certified Public Accountant. She holds both a B.S. and B.A. from the University of Massachusetts with majors in Management/Accounting and History.
Kevin J. Love, Vice President of Human Resources, MIB Group, Inc.
Kevin J. Love joined MIB Group, Inc. in 2007 with extensive HR experience spanning various industries including financial services, manufacturing, general service and technology. Prior to joining MIB, Mr. Love provided HR leadership for Iron Mountain in their off-site data protection & technology escrow businesses and served as Director of Benefits at the Corporate Headquarters in Boston, MA. He began his career in a recruiting specialty, rapidly transitioning into HR leadership roles for Associates First Capital (Citigroup), Energetic Solutions (Orica) and Centex Home Equity Corporation (Nationstar Mortgage) in Dallas, TX. Mr. Love holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX and a B.S. in Communication from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. He has attended several professional development programs from SHRM, NEEBC, Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and holds CEBS & SPHR designations.
