Brian joined MIB in 2020 as President and CEO and a member of our board of directors, bringing over 20 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries. Prior to joining MIB, Brian was Sr. Executive Director and Head of AXA Equitable Holdings' U.S. Life, Retirement and Wealth Management businesses, where he had responsibility for leading the company's Life Insurance, Employee Benefits, Individual Annuities, Group Retirement, Mutual Fund, Advisory and Broker-Dealer divisions. Previously, Brian was President & CEO of Crump Life Insurance Services, a leading independent broker and service provider to the life insurance, retirement and health markets. Earlier in his career, he was an investment banker with Salomon Brothers stationed in the U.S. and overseas, and held senior management positions with early stage and mature companies focused in the technology and communications industries. Brian has a B.A. in Mathematical Economics from Brown University.
Andrea joined MIB in 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). She leads the product management, sales, marketing, communications, and client relations functions. Prior to joining MIB, Andrea was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Crump Life Insurance Services, one of the life and health insurance industry's leading brokers and service providers. There she was a member of the senior management team with prior responsibility for Crump's independent sales, underwriting, operations, and shared services organizations. Andrea brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, has participated in various BGA Advisory Councils, and was an active member of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NALIBA) Board of Directors, Forum 400, and the Association of Life Underwriting (AALU).
Christie was appointed General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer in 2021. She is responsible for overseeing MIB's activities in the areas of legal, regulatory and compliance as well as serving as Corporate Secretary and Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to joining MIB, Christie was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Truist Insurance Holdings, Inc. where she was responsible for the legal and regulatory functions. Prior to that role, Christie was General Counsel of Crump Life Insurance Services, Inc., one of the life insurance industry's leading brokers and service providers, after initially serving as an Advanced Marketing Attorney with a general agency acquired by Crump. Christie serves on the Board of Directors of Finesca (formerly AALU/GAMA) and the Board of Governors of Saint Joseph's University Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management. She has extensive insurance industry advocacy experience, including leadership roles on the legislative and regulatory committees of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) and the Wholesale Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA). She holds a J.D. from Widener University School of Law and a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University. She retains her insurance license and securities registration to maintain her deep understanding of insurance and securities products and challenges.
Dan joined MIB in 2020 as Chief Information Security Officer. He is responsible for enterprise information security, business continuity, and enterprise risk management. Prior to joining MIB, Dan was Director of Information Security and IT Infrastructure at Cumberland Farms, a privately held convenience store and gas station chain, and was responsible for information security strategy and IT infrastructure operations. Previously, he was Senior Manager — Security and Risk Consulting at SecureWorks, where he led several consulting teams investigating client data breaches and security incidents. Dan is an (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, and a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Tracy joined MIB in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. She oversees the direction, control and coordination of all financial activities for the organization. Tracy has over 20 years of experience focused on strategic, operational and financial leadership activities. Her experience prior to MIB spans public, private and non-profit sectors having served as CFO for several organizations where finance provided a platform for overall operational performance and long-term viability. Tracy has been a Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) since 2014 and is a Board Member for CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield. She is also the Founding Member of the D.C. chapter of CHIEF, a private network helping women attain leadership positions, and a Member of the Economic Club of New York. Tracy completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School and holds an MPA from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from St. Louis University and a B.S. in Marketing from Fontbonne University.
Kevin joined MIB in 2007 with extensive HR experience spanning various industries including financial services, manufacturing, general service and technology. Prior to joining MIB, Kevin provided HR leadership for Iron Mountain in their off-site data protection and technology escrow businesses and served as Director of Benefits at their Corporate Headquarters in Boston, MA. He began his career in a recruiting specialty, rapidly transitioning into HR leadership roles for Associates First Capital (Citigroup), Energetic Solutions (Orica) and Centex Home Equity Corporation (Nationstar Mortgage) in Dallas, TX. Kevin holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Texas in Denton, TX and a B.S. in Communication from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. He has attended several professional development programs from SHRM, NEEBC, Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and holds CEBS & SPHR designations.
As Chief Information Officer, Seán leads enterprise wide infrastructure and engineering with a mission to drive MIB's technical direction, delivering innovation to its member companies. Prior to joining MIB, Sean was the CTO at Trillium Software, a leading data profiling and data quality provider, where he led all technology globally and participated in M&A discussions leading to the successful sale of the company. Previously, he served as the CTO of Shoebuy.com/IAC (now Shoes.com) where he transitioned the company to the cloud and led product innovations contributing to four years of record revenue growth. Earlier in his career, he held engineering leadership roles with ADP and CheckFree (now Fiserv). Sean holds an M.B.A. Certificate from Tulane University (the A.B. Freeman School of Business) and an undergraduate degree in Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (Special Interest Groups on Software Engineering and Mobile), the Agile Alliance, and OWASP.
Trey joined MIB in 2020 as Executive Vice President, Strategy and New Business Development. In this role, Trey is responsible for leading MIB's strategy and new business development teams, focusing on innovation, partnership and bringing to market new value-added products and services. Prior to joining MIB, Trey served as Head of Life Insurance Distribution at Equitable, National Sales Vice President at John Hancock, Executive Vice President at Crump, and President of BRAMCO Financial Services. Trey brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and holds an M.B.A. and B.A. in Accounting, both from the University of Utah. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), has life and health insurance licenses, and holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 designations.
