RELEASE | December 12, 2018
Braintree, MA and Vienna VA (December 12, 2018) — MIB is pleased to announce increased engagement with Carequality, an interoperability framework that promotes secure, trusted electronic exchange of health information nationwide.
MIB has joined the Carequality Advisory Council, which represents a broad spectrum of constituent groups that provide a diverse array of perspectives to inform the Steering Committee's decisions about the interoperability framework. Stacy J. Gill, MIB Executive Vice President, will share insights with the Council based on MIB's experience in operating a secure data hub and health information exchange in support of the life insurance industry.
Carequality has brought together the entire healthcare industry to develop a national-level, consensus-built, common interoperability framework that enables exchange between and among health data sharing networks. Carequality brings together a diverse group of organizations from the private sector and government, to support nationwide exchange of health information between and among networks, platforms, and geographies, through a collaboratively developed policy and technical framework.
"MIB is pleased to be a part of Carequality to help build adoption of national-level data standards and policies that will streamline a family's ability to acquire valuable life insurance protection within a secure patient-authorized environment," said Gill.
