Verification of employment and income is essential for insurers to assess coverage justification, affordability, and to minimize the risk of policy lapses. Yet traditional data sources have often been limited and unreliable, leaving insurers vulnerable to risk and inefficiencies.

To address this challenge, MIB will now provide access payroll-sourced verification data in real-time, 24/7 from Equifax via the MIB Medical Data Solutions platform. Available to all MIB members, regardless of whether or not they use other MDS offerings, such as MIB EHR, this service delivers fast and reliable information, to empower underwriters to make confident decisions while streamlining processes.

Real-time, payroll-sourced data from FCRA-regulated source for confident decisions

This service provides up to 24 months of verified employment and income history, refreshed every pay cycle. Data is sourced directly from employers and payroll providers, is returned in PDF and XML formats for easy integration into automated workflows and may be used for insurance underwriting.

Seamless integration into your existing process

Requests are submitted through MIB MDS platform using the applicant’s name and SSN (with consent). Equifax returns detailed information including job title, tenure with the employer, and income details. Results are delivered instantly and can be accessed 24/7 through manual entry or API integration.

To increase efficiencies, existing MIB MDS clients can request employment and income data at the same time as medical records – and those with an API can use their current connection.
